Blue Banana Brand reached out to me asking where I wanted to shoot my dream photograph, and the first place that came to mind was a valley called The Valley of the gods, which is the only place on earth where you can see four 8000m peaks in one place.

About two years ago, I was given a book about a group of climbers who ventured to this region to attempt to climb one of these 8000m peaks. In the book, the author describes this extremely remote valley where there are mountains so enormous that you have to lean back to be able to see the tops of them. When reading this book, little did I know I would be standing in that same valley two years later.

We celebrate World Photography Day this week, joining @justin.choquette in a once-in-a-lifetime journey that took him across the world, from Canada to Pakistan, looking for the photo he’s always dreamed of capturing The GondogoroLa and the K2 are two of the most remote places on earth for mountain lovers and adventurer seekers, but it is also one of the most deadly. But, after spending more than 17 days on this journey, we realize it’s also an ever-giving place if you know what to look for.

I travelled to a country I was told NEVER to visit.
